Peaceful and quiet. Away from all the bustle of Nara Park. Very generous sets for under ¥1,500! The owners were very welcoming and kind. The pumpkin soup and bread were warm and comforting. The second floor feels fuzzy and nostalgic, like you’re visiting your grandma.

Googled and found this little nook snuggled amongst the community. Doesn't have an english menu, perhaps try your google translate app. Only stopped for coffee but it's nice homey experience.

Cozy café tucked away in the backstreets of Naramachi. The owner is very friendly, the egg & cucumber sandwich was nice and generously stuffed, and the ice coffee was really delicious. Definitely recommend sitting upstairs.

In my 3 weeks traveling around Japan, the hour or so I spent in Yotsuba Cafe was one of the quieter, most magical moments. I was the only customer on a very rainy morning when I could find nothing else open. The lady that served me was incredibly courteous and welcoming, and despite sharing few words in common we were able to talk about some of the lovely trinkets she had decorating the house. I also bought this precious cat she was selling, I think from a local artist. Thank you for a strange, blissful morning :)
